Number One in the World: The Ambition Behind Michael Feehan's Seven Prayers
Michael Feehan, founder of SEVEN PRAYERS, wants his book Seven Prayers to become the number one prayer book in the world. Here is the ambition and the story behind it.

Business advice often says to aim high. Michael Feehan, a Sydney-based author who goes by “OG7P,” has done exactly that. He wants his book Seven Prayers to become the number one prayer book in the world.
The book was published on 28 April 2023. Feehan says he has been working toward it, in prayer, since 2019.
A Clear Mission
Every strong venture can say what it does in a sentence. SEVEN PRAYERS can say it in four words: “We prompt prayer.”
Feehan pairs that mission with a philosophy that sets no limits on who it is for. “Anyone can pray and everyone will pray,” he says. The brand is not built for a niche or a profession. It is built on the belief that prayer is open to all.
That belief extends to how he talks about its value. “Prayer solves every problem known to man,” he says. “It is the most powerful weapon we have.” Leaders who are used to weighing options will note how absolute that statement is. Feehan means it plainly.
A Differentiator Money Can’t Buy
Competition is a fact of life in publishing, and Feehan has a clear view of what separates Seven Prayers from the rest. It is where the book came from.
He describes it as “a lived, prayed and answered prayer book,” prayed from 2019 to publication in 2023. “There is nothing like this on earth,” he says.
The origin was not a business plan. Feehan says events in 2019 went against him and his family, and that he reached what he calls “the lowest hell.” From there, he says, “God found me in the lowest hell and taught me to pray.” He prayed day and night, and the book is the result.
“God heard my prayers and answered them,” he says. “The book was published.”
For any founder, that offers a point worth considering. A story that has been lived is the one thing a competitor cannot copy, and Feehan has built his message around it.
Building Visibility
Feehan has also been working on his reach. He has completed an article with Michael Franzese and presented him with a copy of Seven Prayers. Through SEVEN PRAYERS, he sponsors professional boxing, including former NBA player Delonte West’s bout for Brandrisk. The boxing sponsorship images Feehan shared feature four-time world champion and Boxing Hall of Famer Jeff Fenech, Paul Gallen and Delonte West. Separately, in music, famous producer Scott Storch has partnered with SEVEN PRAYERS to create the SEVEN PRAYERS soundtrack.

These are the steps he has taken so far, and he names them as part of a larger plan to grow the audience for the book.
The Ambition
Feehan has never framed his goal as small. “Seven Prayers to be the number one prayer book in the world” is how he describes it. The book itself, he says, is “living and breathing” and “no ordinary prayer book.”
It is the sort of statement that readers in a city built on ambitious projects will understand. The idea behind the goal, Feehan says, is universal. Anyone, he says, can pray.
Lessons for Leaders
Feehan’s story is not a conventional business case, and he doesn’t present it as one. Still, a few points stand out for founders and executives who read it.
First, he is specific. He knows his goal, the number one prayer book in the world, and he states it. Second, he is consistent. Whether he is describing the book, the venture, or his advice, the language is the same: pray, and prompt others to pray. Third, he starts from what is true for him. The book, in his words, is “lived, prayed and answered,” and that is the basis of everything else.
A One-Word Takeaway
At the end of his intake, Feehan was asked what advice he would give. His answer was a single word. “PRAY,” he says.
It is a call to action that needs no explanation, and it is the one he returns to whenever he talks about the book.
